Malagasy currency is the Ary Ary

The exchange rate is approx.: 1 EURO - from 2500 to 2800 ary ary. Prior to Ary Ary they had the Franc Malagasy, that it was 1/5 in value than the ary ary

Elderly and traders still speak in Franc Malagasy, but it is not a problem, you divide the amount per 5. If you have a doubt, ask if the price is in Ary Ary or in Francs, no one will take advantage of that.

Euro is welcome by all, even if the exchange rate is very fluctuating, and for that we DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USD DOLLAR, because the exchange rate is much penalized.

Nobody accept credit cards, due to the unstable internet connection.
